The EF-40 antenna is a 1/2 wave EndFed antenna for 40m. Includes a matchbox – L resonant circuit – so it doesn’t require a tunner. This antenna doesn’t need a “counterpoise” or radials to work.
It can be installed as inverted L, Horizontal, Vertical or Slopper, so it present many advantages during the setup in portable operations.
A typical instalation for portable operations is to use a mast or rod and mount it as inverted “L”.
Thanks to its easy installation and light weight, it is an ideal antenna for portable operations as SOTA, Field Day, etc.
