This is a special version of the ARS-USB that has been adapted to Yaesu motors (or motors that operate on 24Vac) allowing the original Yaesu remote to be replaced by this remote. There is another similar model: ARSCU_YAESU_DC prepared to operate with DC motors.

It includes the same features as the standard ARS-USB but also:

  • It warns and blocks rotation when it detects that the potentiometer is outside the operating range (for example, if the potentiometer or a wire breaks).
  • It warns and detects if the motor is blocked.
  • It monitors that the motor turns in the correct direction and not in the opposite direction. This can happen when the cables are connected for the first time.

It also allows the motor to be calibrated at any point in its travel and includes a simple and flexible configurator (ARSConf).

Includes 24Vac – 120W module required for Yaesu motors that operate on 24Vac (G400, G450, G600 or G650). Can work with motors that use 3 (standard) or 2-wire potentiometers.

It has also been tested with other motors that operate at 24Vac such as the create RC5A. For other motor models that operate at 24Vac, please ask for

Description

The ARSCU_YAESU_AC is a special version of the ARS-USB, designed to directly control Yaesu motors (AC models) such as the following models:

  • G400
  • G450
  • G600
  • G650

It includes a 6-pin molex connector compatible with the connector used by Yaesu in its motors, although for motors that do not use this connector, there is an internal 6-pin terminal where we can connect the control cable. It can also be used with other AC motors (24Vac).

The popular ARSVCOM program is included, which provides a friendly user interface in Windows. It has a USB port with a Yaesu GS232A compatible interface, so it is supported by any program.

It is the ideal solution for remote control of motors via the Internet.

The calibration system is very powerful and simple and allows the adjustment of the motor limit switches between any point and with ramp start/stop.

The ARSCU_YAESU_AC, like the standard ARS-USB, includes a utility that allows you to download firmware with new versions through the same USB port. Thanks to this utility, it is not necessary to change Eproms, or expensive tools to update the Flash.
It is also possible to use motors that only use 2 wires for the potentiometer, as is the case with some models that do not use Pin #1, since it is prepared for it, activating a stand for this purpose.

Existe otro modelo similar: ARSCU_YAESU_AC preparado para funcionar con motores de Corriente Alterna.

    Incluye las mismas prestaciones que el ARS-USB standard pero además:

    • Gestión del arranque/parada por PWM con lo cual se proporciona que el motor arranque y pare de forma progresiva.
    • Avisa y bloquea el giro cuando detecta que el potenciómetro está fuera del rango de operación (por ejemplo ante rotura del potenciómetro o de algún hilo).
    • Avisa y detecta si el motor queda bloqueado.
    • Supervisa que el motor gire en el sentido correcto y no en sentido contrario. Esto puede pasar cuando se conectan los cables por primera vez.

    Además permite calibrar el motor en cualquier punto de su recorrido e incluye un configurador (ARSConf) sencillo y flexible.

    It includes the same features as the standard ARS-USB adding some extra as:

    • Simple and easy calibration at any rotor position in few steps.
    • Soft start and stop via a PWM. It allows to have a soft starting/stopping ramp.
    • It detects if the potentiometer is out of range and will prevent any accidental problem with the antenna coax. Any problem with the potentiometer or cables are detected inmediately
    • If the motor is jammed by any reason, an alarm will be displayed and the appointment will stop. The user will be noticed.

    All those watch-dog systems (and some more options) will prevent to generate a problem if the potentiometer is damaged by any cause (any wire broken, moisture, a wrong cable connection, etc).  

    This model include a 24Vdc DC-DC module which is necessary for Yaesu motors (G800, G1000, G2800 or new G450DC) and It can operate on emergency power and battery (12Vdc)

    El ARS-USB Azimuth & Elevation es el interface de motor universal más completo y con mejor rendimiento del mercado. Se conecta con el mando de motor que tengas (Yaesu, Kenpro, Daiwa, HamIV/T2X, Prosistel, etc) y te permitirá controlar el posicionamiento de tus antenas (Azimuth & Elevación) desde el ordenador por medio del puerto USB.
